Fusion 360 Upload To Fusion Library?

Issue:

How to import a CAM tool library in Fusion 360.

Causes:

A.TOOLS, .JSON, .HSMLIB, or .CSV tool library file can be added to the local or cloud tool libraries in the Fusion 360 CAM Tool Library Director.

NOTE:

Manufacturer tool libraries can exist downloaded from The Sample Tool Library. Tool libraries can also exist created within Fusion 360 and exported past right clicking the library in the Fusion 360 Tool Library Manager and selecting "Export Tool Library." This will save a re-create of the library to the local reckoner. This copy is not linked to the Fusion 360 CAM Tool Libraries when saved locally - information technology is just a re-create.

  • When clicking the Local tab instead of one of the libraries stored under Local, the "Export Tool Library," "Duplicate Tool Library," and "Delete Tool Library" options will be dimmed considering no unmarried library is selected.
  • Private tools cannot be imported/exported using any alternative techniques. To add together a unmarried tool to Fusion 360, information technology will either need to exist exported as a library using the instructions or copied across libraries within Fusion 360.
  • Fusion 360 is unable to import other types of tool libraries (just HSMLIB, CSV, JSON, and TOOLS files are supported) or create tools from solid CAD information.  Refer to the article for more data on creating form mills in Fusion 360:

The process to import local and cloud libraries is shown in the video. Like all CAM Assets, deject libraries can also exist uploaded to the Assets > CAMTools folder in the Data Console.
